Parks Inclusion for People Experiencing the End-of-Life: A Narrative Analysis

Parks and nature are known to influence quality of life in a number of different ways, but little is known about the role of parks and nature for those experiencing the end-of-life or for their caregivers.

Researchers with Mount Royal University’s Institute for Environmental Sustainability, funded by the Alberta Parks Research Fund, are exploring views and beliefs on this topic. We invited anyone who is at the end-of-life, receiving palliative care, as well as any caregivers or family members of loved ones who have experienced the end-of-life, to share their views in a short online survey. Respondents were also asked if they were interested in being interviewed about the topic.

The survey is now closed.

We will hold interviews in spring 2015.
